Part of Tanglewood’s Crossroads Series, the TWCR D Acoustic Guitar is rich in tone, incredibly evenly balanced, and engineered to an outstanding quality. Cutting to the chase, you’d pushed to find a guitar that plays and sounds at this level, but at similar price. The inspiration behind Tanglewood’s Crossroads Series is 1930s America, recognising that despite great advances in guitar manufacturing and design, too often the traditional, ultimate quality of a guitar is lacking. The first quality that Tanglewood recognised was that these guitars had to be built to last.

The Tanglewood Union series guitars are a range of class-leading, quality-driven Solid top guitars, created to excite and amaze guitar players with outstanding value and ultra-competitive pricing.

Constructing Union from classic Mahogany tonewoods, with premium cosmetic grade Solid African Mahogany tops, each Union model has maple hardwood binding to the body front and headstock, with a maple inlay forming the soundhole rosette.

The TWU D features a Dreadnought body, the most recognised guitar shape. It's regarded as the all-rounder because it offers a good balance of bottom end with highs, allowing it to cover a lot of ground for players who need adaptability.

And it's got a top quality Tanglewood TW-EX4 preamp system for making your music sound stellar through an amplifier - perfect for gigs. Topped off with a sleek mahogany neck and eboncore fretboard for clean playability, this guitar proudly stands out from the crowd.

Boasting some top quality craftsmanship and a host of great features, it resonates with a beautifully warm tone and powerful projection. It's one versatile creature. This model is electro acoustic, so you can plug it in and play to your heart's content, with a beautiful amplified tone. This makes it perfect for live shows, where all your notes will sail through the air with pristine clarity thanks to the quality preamp system. Tanglewood recognise that to introduce people to music an instrument must have a high build quality, good playability, attractive cosmetics and as many features as possible to encourage and reward aspiring musicians.

Using this design brief, Tanglewood luthiers created the Discovery Exotic series, a whole range of genuine musical instruments which feature 4 band EQ systems with stage backlighting, delicate 2mm fingerboard dots, black soft touch machine head buttons and understated sound hole rosettes. All these features are aimed at bringing the specification of a much more expensive instrument into the entry level market.
