The body of the Ibanez UEWT5-OPN Tenor Size Acoustic Ukulele is crafted from laminated sapele, a wood sonically and botanically related to mahogany. The body is finished with an open pore finish. On the okoumé neck is glued a highbush/amaranth fingerboard equipped with seventeen frets. The orientation on the surface of the fingerboard is facilitated by the maple position points, the correspondence on the upper positions of the fingerboard is facilitated by the lower cutout of the body, the table is decorated with a rosette in mother-of-pearl (abalone) . The strings are held in open chrome tuning machines and a purpleheart fingerboard. The magic of the ukulele is that almost anyone can learn to play it easily and very quickly.
